The primary component is the Galvalume steel panel which is composed of  single sourced steel galvanized with an aluminum-zinc alloy.  Having one steel source allows for consistency from one manufacturing cycle to another and across world wide applications. The 26-gauge structural-grade steel panel is specifically designed to maintain structure with a minimum tensile strength of 58 KSI while at the same time having enough elasticity to prevent cracking during its high-definition molding process and installation applications.

The panel is galvanized with an aluminum-zinc alloy which gives the 26-gauge steel added protection to any exposed surfaces such as drill-holes made during installation.  The primary benefit of the zinc-alloy coating is its universal corrosion protection.  The result is patented as Galvalume.

An acrylic varnish is then applied across the panel to create an adhesive substrate which maximizes the agglutinant properties of additional layers.  

The top surface of the panel is then coated with an adhesive basecoat. The basecoat consists of an acrylic resin binder specifically designed in two colors which blend with 3M™ roofing granules. The base-coat, an integral layer of the Stone Coated Steel Roofing System, allows for a greater adhesiveness of the roofing granules, and is a critical component in protection against moisture, water, and UV rays.
